During the Cerec procedure, the tooth to be treated is scanned to computer. Once scanned, the data thus obtained is digitally transmitted to the mill cutter that cuts the crown of filling. Usually, this is realized during one treatment session. The procedure serves to avoid having to take dental impressions.
